Green light, woke from a dream like One chance, capture the moment (here) Before the rise of the oceans (fear) No time for that, got to hold a (clear) Picture of what you imagined Why not? The worst that that could happen You fall get back up in action More stories to keep ya laughin’ I don’t know bout that planet I know I like this one lots Don’t wanta be At-lantis Don’t wanta be Shipwrecked lost Let’s keep this sailing Charting courses with that cosmiclight Constellation, conversations to Keep us all charged up just write about it and sing about it pray about it just think about it We made it outta this soup dono about you but I feel that’s proof Something is meaningful out of the nothingness We were like poof.... One breath, one time.. Live and direct from this recording booth Casting my love out to you (you) like Green light, go for your dreams One chance, capture the moment (here) Before the rise of the oceans (fear) No time for that, got to hold a (clear) Picture of what you imagined Why not? The worst that that could happen You fall get back up in action More stories to keep ya laughin’ Imagine how we look to the stars Rushing through the days in our cars Missing out on the sunsets The song of the flowers Is never that far away from here Crawled out the murk, fall to the earth Adam and Eve, whatever Was first Eat off the land, seeds in the dirt Grew to expand our brains With words Sea full of fish, trees full of birds Made us some tech, changed how we work Billed every hour, built up the towers Paving the fields, we Killed all the flowers But I don’t want to see that planet These ways ain’t worth that much And we can adapt Manage ourselves better, our health better Our wealth, spreading the trust The way that we seek ain’t the way that it was This is a snapshot: Microphone stand and a laptop, singin’ Green light Go for your dreams One chance, capture the moment (here) Before the rise of the oceans (fear) No time for that, got to hold a (clear) Picture of what you imagined Why not? The worst that that could happen You fall get back up in action More stories to keep ya laughin’ Imagine how we look to the stars Rushing through the days in our cars Missing the sunsets The song of the flowers Is never that far away from here

The story’s gon’ change and glory don’t fade Auditorium stages, I never was a jock too much Sit in class learned to talk too much Late nights on a walk To you (like “What’s good”) Well the poetry sweeter with some chords on it The road rides smooth like a board on it When the goals grow gradually Then respect comes natural, see how Hard work pays, practice is free Like some day-old-pastries And patched up knees In a nation of waste, land of the greed Where we love to be famous But hate to agree (what’s good?) Better than we were now There’s music in the earth, beauty in the dirt It’s funny how it works out (works out) To put it into words, so good that it hurts Better than we were now There’s music in the earth, beauty in the dirt It’s funny how it works out (works out) To put it into words, so good that it hurts (What’s good?) Tell me tell me what’s your favorite part Is it the sweet sweet ice cream vibes Or the heart shaped box on your night stand Kiss in the dark Hikes to the top of that hill by the park We were sunset kids in a Seaside city Where we undressed, jumped in the sound for a minute Picked it up off the ground like a penny 29 times round but I feel like it’s 20 Laugh like it hurts but we live like it’s funny Cook with some bokchoy Tea with some honey Rolled through the stop sign Song probly stop time Beat like a wave We could surf on the top line There’s music in the earth, beauty in the dirt It’s funny how it works out To put it into words So good that it hurts Better than we were now.. There’s music in the earth Beauty in the dirt It’s funny how it works out To put it into words So good that it hurts When this all might’ fade in the blink of an instant iPhone instincts, looking for the looong view Sing best from a place in my chest, trust in the rest Let’s see what the sooongs do Living for the minute Ride to the rhythm of The tide comes in (sunsets) Everybody got they eyes on it (one time) What a chance we’re alive for this Let’s try, uh, tell me What’s good? It’s the vibe right now It’s the love in the room It’s a fine line, wow We could really send it over the edge What’s World War III in a world so sweet? Seek out the real love on your people Feel what you feel, came here for a reason How could we stop this train? I ain’t ever getting off this train Better than we were now There’s music in the earth Beauty in the dirt It’s funny how it works out To put it into words So good that it hurts Better than we were now There’s music in the earth Beauty in the dirt It’s funny how it works out To put it into words So good that it hurts

Bare feet in the dirt Blessed to grow up Running round and getting hurt Bloody knees, climbing trees Fall to the earth, hide and seeking Capture flaggin on a search.. Bare feet in the dirt, yah Bare feet in the dirt Blessed to grow up Rolling round and getting hurt Bloody knees climbing trees Fall to the earth What are we seeking What’s the answer to our search? Don’t forget about the earth Mama had a garden she was workin in the yard And we was playing in the mud Water soakin up the earth tones Church goin’ folks Later got up in that Sunday’s best Birds flock but they first must leave they birds nest and fly One can study wise words but then words often lie Twist em up to obscure what’s underneath em Use ‘em like a map but they are not the path, don’t forget it When you pass where they point, don’t look back, you can leave em In the dirt Blessed to grow up Running round and getting hurt Bloody knees, climbing trees Fall to the earth, hide and seeking Capture flaggin on a search.. Bare feet in the dirt, yah Bare feet in the dirt Blessed to grow up Rolling round and getting hurt Bloody knees climbing trees Fall to the earth What are we seeking What’s the answer to our search? Don’t forget about the earth Mama had a garden and we understood our part in it Enmeshed into a web of life Belonging to the heart of it No wonder now we’re anxious Our Culture stays at war with it Broken-hearted people In this old and tired story it’s A shame we keep repeating All these patterns self defeating Hiding all our wounds, It’s like laughing while you’re bleeding Divided at the roots from our mother Keep the truth from each other What’s the use? Oh, my brother When were you last... Bare foot in the dirt Blessed to grow up Running round and getting hurt Bloody knees, climbing trees Fall to the earth, hide and seeking Capture flaggin on a search.. Bare feet in the dirt, yah Bare feet in the dirt Blessed to grow up Rolling round and getting hurt Bloody knees climbing trees Fall to the earth What are we seeking What’s the answer to our search? Don’t forget about the earth Reach down Touch ground

I dreamed we woke up from a scheme Flipped the script, changed the scenery From gray scale concrete To greenery Ya I mean it takes a little work for a garden But yo this foods delicious Doesn’t show up wrapped in garbage... Glowing with that good Qi Just how it should be Provide you nutrients, vitamins, and some good sleep Seeds planted With soil water and sunshine’s glow Reaction to some kind of magical pull It’s starts to grow, splits open, and it reach for the sky Leaves hoping to mine some of that grooviest shine And turn it into flowers and fruits and veggies Powerful roots dig in the dirt For the truth it’s every Thyme floats by Got the Rosemary scent on my mind Lavender laced up, tomatoes on vines So good to my taste buds Zucchini’s and chives Apples, arugula, kale It’s such a beautiful.. Rivers and streams, seashores in my dreams Ice melts into steam, cloud bursts make it green Globe so blue, water color hues We barely even think ‘bout the fluid that we use in the sink Sweat until we stink, replenish, re-thinkin’ how we spent it If we drink too much, Dehydrated, no rain, no luck No planet, no fish, boat sink, so what? We got these Britta filters, brown water in flint Whale watchers, otters and shrimp (yah) Remember shark week up on the Discovery channel Singing you and me baby ain’t nothing but mammals Eatin’ sushi comin out the blue sea Beauty in the waves and the clams so juicy Geoducks and sand dollars in my hand Crabs in a bucket, if we’re lucky Then we can keep drinking up the... Caught-up in the net, but what’s left? When the ocean upset We can’t swim, can’t surf Did we really take water sell it back to the masses? Wrap it in plastic? Isn’t it madness? Flickering 03:42
Cuz what if this fading fast Make a shift, life a dance floor Raise your hands up What do you stand for? What will you choose (Yes) How will you use (This) Time on the planet We all die and eventually fall So take the risk when it calls out... Step into intrepid adventures And dig deep Build up your habits like stairs You can reach if you dare But we each gotta share When the time’s right Shine bright and your work Might give the blind sight It’s not about some fame or the lime light What will you do With your taste of the truth? Make your move for the Sake of the future Cuz what if this Fading fast Make a shift, life a dance floor Raise your hands up What do you stand for? What will you choose (Yes) How will you use (This) Time on the planet We all die and eventually fall Dig down, down Deeper into the ground, ground Pick up the pieces And glue em into your SoundCloud Cause life pass by But we came here to heal Carry some weight Wake up and Share what you feel Shine bright (shine bright) We still need love and we still need light This is when it counts Moments where we choose How it’s bouta go down What we’re leaving to the youth Is up to you cuz what if this Fading fast Make a shift, life a dance floor Raise your hands up What do you stand for? What will you choose (Yes) How will you use (This) Time on the planet We all die and eventually fall We’re in this mess together It’s so much more than the weather Or what our science can measure That’s on life y’all This is initiation It’s just an invitation For us to rise to the call of the tides This end of the bullshit The fall of the lies But it depends on us all To be friends and unite Combine for efforts Somehow to Realize That tomorrow is forever But depends on Tonight This is globe hotter Like steam come off the water Streams filled with toxins and screamin It’s in the oxygen, breathing The only option is speaking truth And healing ourselves Reach into the darkness of the deepest of Wells To draw strength and still Embrace our weakness as well This is the secrets we tell The reason we fell This is a season of hell but this is time It’s the moment when you notice There’s nothing blocking your shine Shine bright (shine bright) Our lives just some candles in the night Flickering Shine bright This life just a candle in the night Flickering Shine bright (shine bright) Our lives just some candles in the night Flickering... Shine bright This life just a candle in the night Flickering... Shine bright (shine bright) Our lives just some candles in the night Flickering... Shine bright This life just a candle in the night

Visions. 03:28
How can we learn to see differently? I write because It might be nothing that’s left It might be grey and decrepit It could be nuclear waste It could be wars out in space Take these concrete dreams to where they lead us Praising our idols from Justin Bieber to Yeezus (yuck) Plastic islands washing up from the ocean It’s all the garbage Everything that we’ve broken and thrown away It could be drone fights, shooting at our own like Nothing the same when we gave away our souls To the phones and our own vices It’s a home crisis We could blame it on Isis ‘steada looking in the mirror Might be in the last years of an epoch Switch But our culture tryna keep us on the same old ish (Ba-da-da-da’s) But you can find me at the viewspot Lookin at the world little differently If I could hear it from you God What kinda vision would you give to us? I ain’t lookin at the news pops Cuz we need see the world a little differently And determine what’s true Love please help us to see Some new possibilities It could be locally owned, Co-operative and everyone known by someone Simple time, simply open, our home’s solar powered Enjoying the golden hours and poems Or maybe out in the garden getting into the zone Permaculture and friends, slow down and relax Less cars more trees, fresh air without the ash Floating up in the sky Learn to recycle our trash Less distracted and numb More people walkin’ their path The path ain’t easy to find but It’s worth takin’ a chance my friend The vision might be simple as this: A bunch a wall flowers working up The courage to dance again (Ba-da-da-da’s) But you can find me at the viewspot Lookin at the world little differently If i could hear it from you God What kinda vision would you give to us? I ain’t lookin at the news pops Cuz we need see the world a little differently And determine what’s true Love please help us to see Some new possibilities From the viewspot Lookin at the world little differently If i could hear it from you God What kinda vision would you give to us?

about

WHAT’S GOOD? is an offering to the collective…poetry set to rhythm and tune. It is an invitation, a portal, a musical essay. Amidst the upheaval and division of our world, it calls back to basics we all share: the ground, the water, the stars, our breath.

What is really good? How do we recognize and celebrate the natural cycles & small wonders of daily life? How do we return again and again to a place of possibility, and the potential of a better world? This record spends time in these waters...

To the poets, dreamers, and lovers in each of us. May we all find and walk the path of the heart.
